Targus 4 Card Reader For Mac카테고리 없음 2020. 2. 7. 20:36
The Targus All In One Flash Memory Reader & Writer has been designed to meet the changing needs of today's digital photographer. Its dual slot universal design allows one reader to be used with most digital cameras and other flash memory devices on the market. And you can transfer images from. I cannot get a Targus card reader to work. Bought a Targus card reader for picture uploads. It installed ok but will not show up when I go to My Computer and look at the drives avaliable.
Purchased this model because it was the only usb hub available at my local store. It has no lights or indicators of any kind and no external power option available. Also, the position of the ports makes it a pain to plug anything next to any wide peripheral, such as certain USB memory sticks and wireless network cards.
Nevetheless, it worked fine as a basic USB hub on my home and office PCs and mac laptop for about 2 months without any incident. One day it quit working. The computers simply do not act like the hub is connected to the computer. Consequently, nothing plugged into the hubs ports function or receive any power.
I bought two of these at my local Walmart a couple weeks ago for the price listed online. I plugged both in to my desktop and loaded them with different peripherals, they work great. They don't have any lights to show power or activity but it doesn't need them. The only thing you need to watch out for is bottlenecking. If you have more than one flash drive, hard disk drive or solid state drive attached to one of these hubs and you are reading/writing from multiple drives you may see a loss in speed or performance.
Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good reliable USB Hub. First of all, I should state that I find no problems with the hub's performance, it functions fine. My issues are with the design of the hub itself, when attached to a usb port, the ports face the wrong way IMO. (they face towards the back of the laptop so any other usb cords attached to the hub have to loop back and this adds extra clutter as well as making it harder to plug in flash drives because the ports do not face forward. You would have to turn the hub over and then insert the flash drive for example. The wire is also a flat ribbon type, which isn't very flexible, if you want to face the ports toward you, the ribbon wire will have to be twisted. I doubt that is good in the long run to have such a inflexible cable in a device that needs flexibility.
The housing also scratches very easy, not a big issue but still one that could have been avoided with a different texture or design. I purchased this from a Walmart store, as it seemed like a good deal. I'm running out of open USB ports on my Windows 7 computer.

Plugged it in, and my machine recognized it immediately and set up default drivers for it. Plugged in my Edimax Nano Wireless Network Adapter, and the machine recognized immediately that the device was plugged in. But, the device would not work. Could not connect to the wireless router anymore. Essentially, everything about the Adapter worked, EXCEPT its ability to recognize and connect to a wireless router. Unplugged the Hub, plugged the Adapter directly into the computer, and it worked again, the same as before. It might work for your devices, but it might not.

I use it primarily to charge my rechargeable devices, because at least that much works correctly. Otherwise, I'd take it back.
